Lost Life Insurance, an issue that does not go away.

Hello All,

We have been preaching for years that there must be something done about the possibility of an individual with Life Insurance never gets the benefit to the people that count, the beneficiaries. Recently in the news, the Insurance Commissioners have taken note of the fact the insurance companies can only do so much to look for the beneficiaries when they know the insured person has passed away. They have suggested the insurance companies scan the Death Masters File (a database of deceased Social Security Numbers) so they can figure out if the insured has passed away and then proceed to track down the beneficiary. Great suggestion however, you definitely need the agreement of the Social Security Administration (SSA) to go along with your idea. A new article has been writen saying the SSA has limited the access to the Death Masters File as the rules have changed.
This is even more of a reason a central life insurance database is needed. FindYourPolicy.com is free and takes under 1 minute to register. Guarantee your Loved Ones will FindYourPolicy.

Great article to read.
